Lophiodes bruchius is a rare, deep-sea anglerfish in the family Lophiidae. First described in 1981, it typically inhabits bathydemersal zones at depths of 274 to 384 meters in the western Pacific Ocean. Like other goosefishes, it is a benthic predator that relies on a modified dorsal spine as a lure.
